The Bambi Lounge chair – an epitome of Norwegian design and the centerpiece of the Bambi Line, was originally designed by the renowned furniture design company Rastad & Relling in the mid 50’s.

Now, we felt the need to bring a piece of furniture history back in the limelight and show why Scandinavian Design never goes out of style.

The Bambi Lounge chair being part of the Bambi Line consisting of an array of chairs, is wider, deeper and more expressive than the other chairs in the Bambi family. Although the chair has a design that meets the eye as bold, the construction and design of the chair will give you a sense of airiness and ergonomic support when seated.

Rastad & Relling.

Rastad & Relling Tegnekontor was one of the main representatives of the development of furniture design for decades. With furniture Bambi, Futurum, Crossed and Cycle sets the Norwegian design on the world map. Interior architects Rolf Rastad (1916-1995) and Adolf Relling (1913-2006) established the furniture and interior architectural firm Rastad & Relling (R & R) in Oslo in 1943. They Employed graduates interior designers from Norwegian National Academy of Craft and Art Industry, and therefore functioned as an important incubator for post-war premier furniture designers.
